Quartz Flash

Jalapeno Flash Curing Units

M&R’s Copperhead Jalapeno is a versatile and compact flash curing unit that is easy to install and provides exceptional performance for a competitive price.

The Jalapeno has been designed to optimize and balance the heat across the printed area during flashing, which minimizes scorching and provides better consistency across different ink and shirt colors.

A specifically designed hot air distribution process uses fans to push the air through a perforated plenum above the IR system to evenly heat the entire surface of the printing area. The improved airflow of the Jalapeno provides particularly good results on waterbase inks.

The quartz flash switches activate as the pallets start to move to minimize warm-up delays, and the quartz bulb heating system reaches the preset flash curing temperature before the pallet reaches posi- tion to maximize speed, consistency and performance.

Each Copperhead Jalapeno comes with built-in electrical system connectors to easily plug in with a Copperhead Automatic Screen Printing Presses main control functions, so no additional wiring or cables are required. The Jalapeno has been developed with double-wall insulation that saves energy
by retaining heat inside the unit while keeping the outside surface cooler.

The sturdy stand on a Jalapeno flash cure includes a precise height control that is carefully aligned to the printing area with adjustment feet in each corner.

Once you use the consistent, efficient, and economically priced Jalapeno to flash cure your screen prints, you will understand why the Copperhead sets the new standard of flash curing.

Tacana D

tacana_overviewTacana D
M&R’s Tacana D is the ultimate integrated flash cure system. Tacana D uses sealed tungsten filament quartz lamps with adjustable intensity. Instant-on lamp technology conserves energy by reverting to standby when the press is idle, and the digitally-controlled lamps are divided into three zones that can be operated independently or in any combination. Using fewer zones on small print areas reduces ambient heat, lowers energy costs, and leads to faster substrate cooling. The unit ensures consistent curing with a reflector array, forced-air heat exchange, and digital temperature controller. Digitally-managed power levels enable precise control of the curing process. Tacana D takes up less space than standard flash units because it mounts in the screen holder and doesn’t protrude beyond the normal diameter of the press. An optional floor stand turns Tacana into a versatile, multi-use flash.

Red Chili

Red Chili
The freestanding Red Chili uses sealed tungsten filament quartz lamps, and works with both automatic and manual presses. Instant-on lamp technology conserves energy by reverting to standby when the press is idle, and its lamps are divided into three zones, which can be operated independently or in any combination. Its adjustable optical sensor switch can be positioned on either side of the flash, allowing the Red Chili to match the rotation direction of the press. The sensor doesn’t require a signal from the press, making it easy to move the unit between printheads or presses without time-consuming setup. The sensor also makes the Red Chili ideal for manual press flashing. A communication socket enables PLC or optional foot pedal cycle control. The curing module is mounted on a height-adjustable floor stand.

Cayenne D

cayenneD_overviewCayenne D
Cayenne D is M&R’s most sophisticated and versatile freestanding quartz flash system. Cayenne D uses sealed tungsten filament quartz lamps with adjustable intensity. Curing duration can be controlled by a digital timer or by an ink temperature sensor that automatically shuts off the flash when the substrate reaches operator-set temperature. The stand is easy to move, and lamp height can be adjusted.
